I would be skeptical too however I have knowledge of the car since 1975 and I have owned it since 1979 .The old folks I purchased it from bought here in Sacramento CA at Swift Dodge and claimed they were the original owners. The seat pattern is correct etc..These Canadian GT Darts are somewhat of an enigma; not that they are valuable: just unusually optioned! Ever heard of a 6 way option on an A body?
Why would a car bought in Sacramento be a Canadian GT Dart? I'm confused on that one.
A fellow clubmember of mine bought an 69 Road Runner brand new. He was 6'6". The dealership moved the front seat back and redrilled the mounts on the floorpan for him.
I believe the six way seat shows up on the fender tag? If so, moparnation, what does your fender tag say.
Moparnation, do you have the buildsheet for this car?

For what it is worth, I have a set of '66 Barracuda seats that have adjustable tracks for tilt and height, are these rare?

That was standard . B bodies also had those. All A and Bs up to 66 I believe

Yes but this one is FACTORY installed! It seems Very unusual!
Yep. Sure it is. Standard with the 440 Hemi engine package.
With Mopar you just never know, if you've been involved with them for a few decades, some pretty odd stuff pops up,.....not to change the subject matter, too much, but keep it on factory oddities...this one is currently on DC.com, a 1970 Charger R/T V code, with AC, and Cruise Control, listed on the tag, VIN and fender tag are present now here's 3 combos supposly not available in a group? ...food for thought, until proven otherwise, that 6 way seat might be a factory oddity

A/C was not available on a Code V car and that car has factory documentation. Unless the OP has factory docs showing a 6-way then I say dealer installed at best. As stated before, the dealers did things to make a sale.

Stories like these always make me chuckle. You all probably know at least one guy who'll chattle on about how back in the day, the factory would do anything. Perhaps at Chrysler, a dealership with enough clout, and a buyer with enough cash - absolutely they could get whatever they wanted. Chrysler was a large enough company that I'm sure they could pull this off. I get told all the time that AMC was the same way. These tales are hard to sit through as I personally know several former Kenosha plant workers. They tell me that any deviation on the line screwed EVERYTHING up. As a time-saving measure, they would pre-assemble sub-assemblies such as engines and certain engine/tranny combos. There is one such gentleman "out there" that loves to cluck about how he has the ONLY Non-Power Steering 401 Javelin AMX. He tells the story of how the factory sent him numerous letters stating they could not build the car to such specifications. (ALL 401 cars have Power steering. 401's were assembled with the pump attached.) I'd be willing to bet toes or testicles that Kenosha shipped a Power Steering Javelin to the dealer either with a spare column & box in the trunk or with a letter attached saying "Go Nuts". There's probably a six-cylinder Javelin somewhere that now has power steering but shouldn't have!

My point was that AC and Cruise were available on Chargers, but it seems that the 6-way seat was not available on the Dart, so it's a poor analogy.
