The vinyl is going to shrink, esp in area where it can be allowed to "pull back", esp under trim, so try and get the maximun amount of mat'l under it, I know at times its easier said than done...but the more you can do to secure the vinyl under trim, the less chance it will have of becoming an eyesore if it pulls past the trim and starts curling, try removing some of the backing from the material using a razor blade to scrape if off the vinyl grain surface before you fold/glue it over the rain gutter "T" base to reduce it's overall thickness, that should allow the drip rail moulding to pull down over it
