I used them in my door cars, my current car just has a starter button and a mag. kill switch.

I have the 4 switch version in my car, ignition and starter still run through the key. I like it, the switch panel is slick. You can swipe your finger across to turn them all off in a hurry if needed.

I love that switch panel. The problem is the touch panel switches. I think they are sexy. But in a race car, when stuff hits the fan, (such as throttle hangs wide open or brakes fail) you have to have switches you can take a bat at with your hand and turn off without looking at them or thinking about it. (Don't ask me how I know.) Don't use this switch panel in a race car.

You can program the switches with dip switches so that it will turn everything off when the Ignition switch is turned off. Mine is that way other than the Fan & Water pump stays on...
Still not the feel you want, but it is a option.

Or you can program them to all turn off with one button pushed.
This is how I have mine set-up. I love this switch panel and can hit the Ignition Off switch without looking. Membrane switches are good for more cycles than I will ever use in my lifetime. I do carry a spare system in my trailer though in case the board ever goes while at a race.

I like the touch pad panel itself I just don't care for the ribbon cable. Mike Gray
