Was thinking of getting one and was wanting to know who makes them.

if memory serves right I believe I read that crane makes them. I have used a couple with good luck and never heard any horror stories involving them.

That's a closely guarded secret. When I worked there Crane was the rumor, but it wasn't fact.

While on the subject, who makes MP cams? I had heard Wolverine, but not sure any more...their packaging has changed which leads me to believe a new manufacturer is making them now.

Crane makes sense. Waaaaay back in 1986 my beater dodge truck wiped a lobe. I bought from summit their "General Kinetics" cam and lifter kit w/libe for $69.99. This was like $40 cheaper than an oem type kit from NAPA and alot cheaper than from the dealer. Years later they re named their budget cam kits Summit.

Keep old mopars alive.

Crane has bought up most of the cam manufacturing in the country. The no-name cams are most likely all Crane. This does not mean they have any special lobes. They are all chevy lobes from the '60s. They'll work ok but for every no-name cam there is a real modern cam that will make more power. Saving money on a cam is like saving money on a brain surgeon.
Yes I know your "SummAW" cam runs 12s, but it would run lower into the 12s with a cam that was designed for the specific application.
