Does anyone make repop or offer new wingwindow gaskets?

Or can they be rreconditioned by soaking in some solution?

I absolutely cannot stand the whistle they make when they wear out. Typically I just use black RTV and "glue" them shut. But I really would prefer to keep them operational since they come in handy at times.

I found these. But not sure about the quality. They don't say whom the MFG is.

I looked for these many times over the last several years so they must be fairly new to the market.

I have a 1987 D100 with the same problem and I see the listing does not show they fit later than 1986. What is the difference?

I'm not sure why the 86 cutoff.

I have a 93 that needs them also.

I sure hope the vent window seals work better on the 73-93 trucks then any supplier's seals for the 40s & 50s trucks do. the seals for the older stuff just sort of fills most of the holes. You won't want someone outside with a water hose if you want to stay dry. Least that has been my experience. Gene

I looked on this web site too. Looks like the same thing though.
http://jimsautoparts.com/truck_weatherstripping.htm

I also sent a message to the Ebay store offering the vent window seals. I have a '76 Dodge truck, and was wondering why these won't fit it. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon. I'll pass on the info.

Just got off the phone with Joe at Mopar Truck Parts.
http://www.mopartruckparts.com/contact.html
He says that the '77 down wing window in the Dodge pickups are different from the '78 up, in the way it latches. He offered to let me take a look at the seals, and return them if they don't work (If I don't try to install them, or molest them).
Just thought I'd pass on the info.
Good luck.

its all in the hinge and latch

some wing glass have 3 holes, some have 2 holes

IIRC the 3 hole glass is for the early trucks and the 2 hole is for later trucks.

the gasket kit I got from moparts member THEDODGEBOYS AKA Allen, fit very well with all of the weather strip in the kit. got me and my buddy 2 complete kits for 225$ each shipped back in 2010.

my vent window gaskets do look like they would fit glass with another style lower hinge...(has a molded round base that really does nothing for my wing window hinge.)

when I orderd them I never knew to ask about the differnt styles. lucked out on the 88 truck with 82 doors.

now that I am replacing the 85 cab with a 91 cab, I am needing to find doors and a new set of MATCHING wing windows and frames. or one to match either one I have. i have a 3 hole glass = 2 hinge 1 latch and a 2 hole glass = 1 upper hinge 1 latch with lower hinge on a chrome channel bar.

I see kits on ebay for 200$ but no wing gaskets. i see some for 250$ with wing gaskets but not sure what yrs I need yet.

is member THEDODGEBOYS still around? does he still sell dodge truck stuff? he was in Bowling Green Kentucky.IIRC

i would sure buy another kit from him. the first kit was A-OK and only 225$

i lost his # and contact info...you out there tuning in Allen?

anyone check with DODGECONNECTION out of orange park FL. he is a member here also.
