If the car has a 4 speed, the bracket isn't as critical. It is the trans throttle pressure lever (KD linkage) that really makes the bracket choice so important.

Sorry, I left that off. The car is an automatic. I was mainly wondering the the Edelbrock and Holley adapters are interchangeable, since I already have the Edelbrock one with my Edelbrock carb. I'll be installing a Holley soon and am wondering if I need to buy the Holley 20-7 adapter. They look very similar.

Just from looking at the pictures I don't think they will interchange. Although I may be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Hold the eddie aqdapter up to side of the holley carb & see what you think. iirc one hole was slightly off & redrilling another one would have fixed that. What Stump said, see if it will locate the height of the throttle pin correct (or close enough) for the throttle cable/kickdown slotted lever to be right and that the arc of the movement in its' travel will be suitable also

Just use the right adapter. I never tried to mod one to fit the other. but they do not bolt up.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Thanks Robert. I was wondering if someone has used the Eddy adapter on a holley carb. Guess I'll just have to see if it'll fit and worse case, I buy the holley one. No biggie. Thanks again.
