Another post claims 251 @ .050............
Yeah, it's in the low-to-mid 250s @ .050".
If you run the MP-recommended .028" lash, it's going to act smaller than a similar duration solid designed to run .018-.020" lash, though.

When I measured the 557 for that cam article I came up with 256 @ .050. I figure being within one degree of advertised was about right. Keith
this is what i measured mine at. theres also an older post on here where a member explains why it comes up that way instead of as advertised

I posted in anther thread that it was 251 @.050 But , then I thought I really dont remember where I got those numbers, I thought it was from a reputable source like Porter, or 451Jim. I never measured it myself, but took that info as gospel. I need to go correct that. I have however measured the .484/241, 509/248 and the .590/271 I think from now on I will only post what I actually measured.

I take it thats the cam your using now? If so hows it running for you? BB or SB? Thumper! I'll take the blame for your misinformational post.

When I measured the MP .557 in my 451 a few years back, it was 256 @ .050. Not the 251 or so they advertised back then.
