Starting to get ready to do some restoration work on the glass from my 70 Dodge Challenger. I have all the pieces except the front windshield which was badly cracked when I got the car. My questions are. I know the parts are available the nylon bushings and such to restore that part of the window but how difficult is it to remove the pieces and install new? The glass appears to be dingy and doesn't clean up with regular cleaner. What's a good solvent to use to clean the window to a crystal clear view? Or if I decide to take the other approach is there anybody that restores the glass including replacing all the nylon bushings?

One other question how difficult is it to get the chrome off the quarter windows and reinstall?

Pretty hard, I didn't want to risk ruining anything so I polished the metal with it still attached to the glass. As far as cleaning all that crud off the glass I used fine steel wool and regular spray window cleaner, then finished it with straight window cleaner.
