My one car I run a JW ultra bell and the CSR shield won't bolt up. The bell area is too thick.

Anyone cut a CSR shield down so it only covers the main body of the trans?

Anyone make a short version of the CSR?

If you use the ultra bell, you'll only need to cover the trans. You can use a blanket.

On my Dart I used an Ultrabell and a short Lofgren blanket.

Two things....Its a street car mostly, and trapped heat is bad.

Second, when it absorbs all the trans oil, it leaks it everywhere...Already been down that road once.

Got a blanket that only covers the very top of the trans up to the edge of the bell, I might consider it, maybe. I do not need one that covers the whole trans, the linkage, the cable and the whole back of the engine, and then for extra safety, wraps around the bottom of the trans too...Its like a bed spread instead of just covering the min required.

Ultra bell and stroud blanket here

So the ultra Bell eliminates the need for a FLEX PLATE SHIELD?
But you still need a TRANS SHIELD for 9.99 and quicker?
I agree with Dragula not a fan of blankets
When it's cold enough to need a blanket, the Barracuda is in the garage.

You my not be a fan of blankets but I am a fan of my feet. I like seeing them whole and all my toes is nice to. My car is a street car and only run a trans cooler on it not through radiator and I only see 180* driving. Once it went too 200 when I was going in to a show with a long line of traffic, took 20 mins to park. It's in a town that is all hills and I guess my 4500 8in conv didn't like it. Now mind you I have a large trans cooler in front of my radiator. If you run a 727 I would make a pass with out one. Or a turbo 400 for that matter.
