Mr. P Body, it is my car "Fast Yeti". Rob posted the pics for me. The car more than kissed the wall.
I sure hate to see that. I heard about a RR hitting the wall at Norwalk, and you told me you were going there the night we met at Ohio Valley. It sure was running well that night. So sorry to see this. I hope it isn't too bad?
Mark
Thanks. The car was running as good as it ever has. I even put more clicks in the front shocks so this would not happen. The car is fixable. It is just going to take time and money.

Hi Jim. So far it looks like the front frame rails by the shock towers are bent. Both the front and rear passenger fenders need to be replaced as well as both bumpers, the front valance under the grill and the rear tail light bezel.
Yeti... thats a bummer.. so the a$$end came around and slammed in also... bummer... a good frame shop can pull it back into shape(I use to to frame work years ago at a bump shop)... its not that hard to do if the guys want to spend the time... best of luck buddy

I took the car to a really good frame shop today and they said they would need one full day and can put the frame back. They have been around along time and have the old books with specs.

Well I see you survived the "homecoming" and all is well. Sorry to see that damage but glad to hear you are already working on the repairs. Get that thing tamed down and it will continue to get faster then it already is. Hope to see you around next year. Russ

Thats cool... I had about 60 spec points on each side I had to check when I did them... I tried to get them dead on.. my boss was always getting pissed at me for taking to long... I always said... what do you want.. quality or quantity ... that shop was known for quality work

Wow, that was quite the ride Tom ! Good job keeping it on all 4 wheels after the landing I'm sure the 'Runner will rise again with some improvements to the chassis/cage and a set of wheelie bars. Ron

I was amazed that you kept the shiny side up. Great job driving with so much happening in a fraction of a second.

Glad you were able to minimize the damage, it could have been much worse. It was good to meet you Tom and that you are gong to have your car put back together even better then it was.

Yeah guys call them "sissy sticks" but I call them "cheap insurance".
Sorry to see that happen, it's a good looking car.

Ugh...hope it can be fixed.
That RR might be my first car! I saved a blue '68 Runner in Louisville in '79, did a bunch of work to it and sold it locally in '84. I'd hear about sightings from time to time...
Scott. I got the car from Rese Smith from Indiana in 2003. Rese had the car about 15 yrs. he bought it from someone in California.
