Car has a 426 ci engine and came with an electric Holley fuel pump already installed - the pump sounds like a freight train that at the same time groans and wheezes, slows down and then speeds up

thinking it needs to be replaced - any recommendations for a QUIET and good replacement pump? - thanks!

The Holley HP series is supposed to be more quiet than the RED/Blue pumps.

spoke to Holley - Y07 has it right - apparently the other pumps they have use a "vane" technology that is what creates such a loud noise - this 12-125 model and the larger 12-150 model use a gear drive of some sort that apparently makes it a more quiet pump - i ordered the smaller volume one...the 12-125...I'll report back as to whether it is actually quieter
