I did a search and see people had issues, but this was a while ago. Does it seal up well? Hughes site now says the plate has ribbing to prevent flexing. I'm looking for something to use on my low deck stroker with Edelbrock RPM's.

I also have a low deck and RPM heads, my ports are max wedge. I'm debating on the Hughes 2 piece or just modifying a regular valley pan to where I would trim it off right under the ports all the way across so the bottom of the intake catches it to hold it down and seal it.

Looks like nobody has used the new one with the ribs. I know when they first came out everyone said they were flimsy and hard to seal. Now they are stainless steel and more rigid supposedly.

These gaskets look nice also......

I have one of the new ones,......
I don't have any experience with it on the street or strip though. I used it on the dyno on one of my engines to make cam swaps easier . When I was done I put a regular valley pan on and saved the two piece deal for a 500 inch build that Will get tested with multiple camshafts.
I had no leaks on the dyno and I think the stainless seals better than the powder coating did. A customer had a powder coated one and I had to grind the coating off where silicone would go to get it to seal.

I use one on my 440rb with eddy heads I do have some leaking issues even though I piled rtv on. I did take out the wood screws for the middle row and got some nuts tig welded on the bottom and used little allen head bolts instead. I'm wondering if I need another valve cover breather to relive some pressure which may also help with the leaks.

Well, one good experience and one potentially bad.
I wish there were more options for us Edelbrock head guys.

Prosport, my heads aren't ported to max wedge size, but they are ported enough that I had to port the valley pan which is kind of a PITA.
The gaskets you posted a link to are exactly what I'm planning to use.

I tried the old style years ago. It ended up in the trash can.

I use the fel pro tin with the runners cut off.
