Ready to Order a Set of Rear Rallyes for my 72 Clone.

Leaf Springs in Stock location.

Will 15x10 w 5" backspace work?
How much tire?

What are you using?

Same car. www.vintagewheelworks.com V45s. 17x8 front. 18x9.5 rear. Not absolutely positive on backspacing other that it was the standard offset offered at the time (they offer two different offsets on that rim now). Pretty sure it is 5.5" backspacing. Tire is 275/40-18. (Should have gotten bigger tire - 285/45-18, but it wasn't offered in that brand/model tire.) 1" clearance to spring on passenger side. 1-1/8" clearance to spring on driver side. Factory spring location. Plenty of clearance on fender, but the lip is rolled.

Chris I'd think so. I have 15x9" w/ 5" backspace on my charger. Doesn't the 72 have more BS available?

5"-5.5" usually works on a 71/2B but I'd measure from the drum flange where the rim sits back to the leaf springs on both sides just to be sure.
Also we are talking back spacing, not offset. Two different things.
Also be sure to allow for the tire side wall which can vary depending on if your running 15" or 20" rims and tires.

Oops, see your running 15" which have more side wall sticking out.

Changed post from offset. Had been researching import wheels, too, and swapped terms

Don't take any computor screen generated measurements as gospel...There's just too many variables like spring sag, rear bushings, rear housing accuracy{as in side-to-side} which is never the same on each side...
Get{borrow} a wheel, preferably as close to the size you want to add ...Measure the backspace, width on the rim for the initial fitting...See how it fits then you can figure out which way you need to go to center the wheel where you need it...There's going to be a tight side{left or right}to the quarterpanel lip so find it and make sure the wheel/tire combo will clear...
Alot of tire manufacturers list the cross section width to help figure the sidewall bulge... It takes some homework but the results are worth it in the end...

Here's a pic of a 10 inch rim that fits nicely in the wheelwell of a 73 road runner The tire is a mickey thompson with a 12 inch cross section...I spent alot of time measuring to make sure it was going in there ...
