I just installed a TF2 kit in my SB 727 and am in the process of filling it back up. I did not drain the torque convertor. How much fluid should this take. I filled it with 5 quarts already. I've checked it after each 1/2 quart for the last 2 now and the mark hasn't moved. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) It's still at the "add a pint" mark. How much fluid should this take? Trans pan and convertor are stock. I'm checking hot and running in park as the TF2 instruction said.

Got it running and in neutral, it may not take much more at all.
I've been checking it running in Park. I believe that what the TF-2 shift kit instruction said.

19 1/2 pints, thats 9 3/4 quarts for those that don't know how many pints to a quart.
Is that 9 3/4 with or without the converter?

If it were me, I would check it in neutral. Part of the shift kit is to allow the pump to work in Park as well as Neutral. Since I just made that modification, I just want to make sure everything is working before I would trust the pump is actually working in Park. Just me, I always worry about whether my work was good or not. Some day I will have self confidence, but until that day, call me skeptical. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif) Craig

I thought I recall the instructions saying that you can no longer check it in neutral. I'll have to look when I get home.
