Final item: This little known custom-built 76 Aspen, with some involvement from SVI, was photographed by myself at Indy in 76 during a short "parade". I don't know if Spehar was involved in THIS one. Check the padded roof, fat whitewalls and sidepipes. All you need now is a Panama hat and Superfly headlights! Bill Rolik

As most of you know I am relatively new to the P/S racing scene, but trying to learning quickly. These type of threads are GREAT.

For the Detroit folks...there was one of those F-bodies for sale in a dumpy used car-lot on Groesbeck and 13. It sat for quite some time. I could never get ahold of anyone at the dealer. It was Brown with a tan roof.

Throughout this thread we see and realize a handful of cars were built. Aside from some cash, what did Detroit provide the team in the form of those cars...i.e. were they rolling chassis, just the shells, or complete cars, complete engines, or just the blocks and heads, etc. etc... How did that piece of this puzzle work? Did someone pick up the phone and say "Hey! ship us three more blocks will ya?" Did they work through any local dealerships or go direct to the engineers?
What were the steps that these guys followed?
