I have a muffler shop and have been doing this for over 15 years. I have an older gentleman that brought in a 11 challenger with a 5.7 and we cut the resonators off the back of his car. Sounded great at idle and under a load but at cruising speed and certain rpms it has a terrible drone sound that he doesn't like. Ive done this to other chargers, 300s and challengers and never had a complaint. We put his resonators back on but he is still in search of "sound". Magnaflow and Flowmaster tech is no help. Anyone got any ideas?

Is it the one that cuts back to 4 cyls at cruse? I sons Magnum did that, and it would drive you crazy.Sounds great when running 8. I also talked to a man that had the same problem.

check out solo performance's cat back

or on the cheap, keep the resonators in the back, and eliminate the mufflers under the floor....

That was the first thing I thought of. Can't you go in the dash menu and turn it off?

The droan is very common with the MDS equipped cars when replacing/modifying factory exhaust.

The better $$$ aftermarket Cat Back systems usually have mufflers and rear resonators to eliminate the droan problem.

I believe it takes an aftermarket programmer, (like a Predator), to turn the MDS off.

When you use autostick MDS is off but you can still have drone at certain speeds. Borla and Mopar sell the $$$ system that has no drone.
