You need a smaller picture of the engine.

A friend of mine is building a special based on the 2008 Challenger SRT-8 drivetrain.

His intention is to use the instrument panel as well as the engine management system. The current problem is how to disable airbags and all the other functions not needed.
- Do you know if the SRT-8 engine control can be manipulated?

My view regarding the variable valve timing is that you should try to use it if you can. I currently don't know how the control of it is done, so sorry cannot help you there.

That's a nice piece of engine you have there!

the cam phaser is required for drivability with the high compression of the 6.4. You will be in odd territory without it (pinging/knocking), and it might not even run on pump gas at all. I would try to run the entire package, or go another route

Looking for 1975 through 1978 B body 4 door sedan sheet metal or parts cars - monaco, fury, coronet. Please let me know

I think the 6.4 is a VVT engine, now I have not kept up with those the past 8-12 months but last I knew people had not figured out how to put a VVT motor in a non VVT car, that being said maybe its not a big deal going in an old rod.

doing a 6.1 is easy, one call to hotwire and they will build a plug and play harness to make it work.

who is that guy?

Modern Muscle Performance just came out with the 6.4 engine management system. Not cheap, but only option I know of. Rest of stuff is readily available.
