Hey guys, anyone know of a company that made/is making trans adapters to put a newer 5 spd trans behind an older 331/354/392 Hemi?

Thanks,
Chad

I don't, but I will be seeing a guy Friday morning who, if there is such an adapter, will know. I'll post back later.

When you figure it out, post up the details.

Sounds like a cool idea.

I seem to recall seeing an adapter somewhere to put a T-5 ford patterned tranny behind a 54 up hemi. I dont remember where I saw it though, hotheads would be my first instinct.
I have not seen one to adapt the early 51-53 long bell block.

Might want to check McLeod Industries, Wilcap Co., or even Speedway Motors.

Thanks for the replies but I have decided to stick to the original plan for the truck and ditch this idea. I appreciate your time though

I know cool idea right? The original plan was a 318 magnum 5spd from a donor but the gears got turning when a buddy and I were talking dream combos. I would want to put fuel injection on the hemi as well, and with the 5spd conversion the cost would just sky rocket too quick. Now if I can find a banged up dakota/ram 2wd 318 5spd I'll get the ball rolling.

Thanks for the help, looks doable but just not in the cards for me at the moment.
