Decipher of build sheet says My GTX convert came with Shoulder Belts. I think I remember removing
some belts that were black, not the same dark blue
as the rest of the Belts in My dark blue interior.
Would the black belts be correct??

The shoulder belts on my 67 HEMI GTX Convertible are black, but it came with a black interior so it is difficult to say.

I suggest you contact Jim Drain @ RS23JWD@aol.com. Jim is the most knowledgeable person I know about 67 GTXs.

From what I understand this is a fairly rare option so there may not be much information available. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Sorry I could not be of more help. Good luck.

Please post what you find out.

Eric,

I have a little more information for you that may or may not be of help.

The 1967 Parts book lists 1-67-1, Package Frt. Seat Shoulder Belt as 4728 CX9 for all the model lines Valiant - Imperial.

I have one NOS Shoulder Belt Package that shows "Shoulder Belt Package All Models 2802754. The tag on the Shoulder Belt is marked Chrysler Corp.
2802741
1966-4 SAE-J4C

It is definitely a Shoulder Belt as it is 7 Ft. long and has the eye bolt hole in one end where it bolts to the driveshaft tunnel.

The belt is Black so you could make a case that all Shoulder belts were Black based on what is shown on the box.

Hope this helps.

Eric,

The part I have in the box has one end with a standard flip up buckle and the other end is the lug end with a hole in it that bolts under the back seat cushion with the standard rear seatbelts. It does not contain the extension assembly that bolts to the driveshaft tunnel with an eyebolt. I can send you photo's of the belt and the assemble 2 pieces in the car if you want them. The photo's will be too large to post here.

John

In my '68s & '69s, the shoulder belt matched the seat belts. But the headliners in those cars were also color-keyed to the interior color. Those were green, burgundy, or blue depending on the car, leaving out the black-interior cars. My white-interior cars had black shoulder belts with black & white interiors, one ('68 Charger) with a white headliner and the other ('69 RR Decor) a black headliner.
Probably not much help, but as close as I can get to it, as my '67 GTX had an all-black interior.
