Well it was good news bad new Saturday night as I ran a new best but ran under in the semi's Saturday night. 6 hard fought no gimme rounds only to run a 10.12@128mph on a 10.14 dial against a 7 second dragster. The pump gas 408 has been running great so I treated the Duster to her new set of wheels finally. The good news on a new deal resulted from talking to a Friend at the track and telling him I couldn't find out exactly what strut front end is on the car. I appears to be off an old Ford Capri but the after market brake, spindle, and strut manufacturers say no. Until I identify it its impossible to get parts or a new style wheel as it was drilled for a mopar 5 bolt 4 inch pattern. Well this Friend called today and offered me aftermarket Struts, springs, spindle, disk brakes, and everything but wheels for 100 dollars. He is only charging me 500 more to install it on the Duster after the season ends. Aren't Friends GREAT.

BEFORE

AFTER

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph
9.42@138.27

Livin and lovin life one day at a time

I love the look of those wheels, my inspection mechanic just put a set on the front of his fox body last week and I was drooling over them.

Nice modern look really livens up your car in my mind.

Very nice looking. And as you have said. It's great to have good friends willing to help. I have a couple of very good friends who have already helped on my Daytona. Jim

Now you need matching fronts! Those wheels look way better.
