I did it the backyard way....I pulled the water pump (cast iron) and replacing it with the Mancini aluminum package...I decided to hook up a garden hose to it on both sides, top and bottom. The passenger side of the block had orange stuff come out, was to be expected....The Drivers side had white sediment come out...I kept checking to make sure the oil wasn't being contaminated with water....I am good on that....I went ahead and blew out whatever water was left over with compressed air...

What could the white stuff have been? The coolant that came out from the radiator drain was a dark murky Green...Going to replace it with 60/40 Prestone

I'd think an additive that was added at some point in time. Not sure if an alum or brass rad would generate white corrosion, but could be. Glad ya did a thorough flush tho.

Calcium deposits from your tap water.

Use Reverse Osmosis bottled water.

Sodium Silicate from coolant additive dropout.

Most brands of antifreeze have silicate additives.
