Had TTIs and was a bear for the linkage clearance. Any better headers or a opinion on a shorty header setup??? Going to build a 490-ish stroker with EB heads. Running a 6-pak setup too.
Any thoughts?

Have a set of 1 7/8" primary Hooker Competition (NOT super comps) headers on my dad's '69 road runner. 440-6 w/ a 4 speed. Fit great around all the 4 speed stuff. Had to massage the primaries around the torsion bars though. They sit a little too far apart on the car and rub the bars.

Yeah my buddy had isues w/ his 440 4 speed and the TTi's as well. Not sure how they'd work w/ the angled plugs but I'm running the Hooker 2" super comps and they fit great, went in easier than the old 1 3/4"'s. (these are 2 piece). I'm running an auto but can't see whay they wouldn't work w/ a 4 speed.

I use Doug's D-452 with my big block stick car and they fit great, I only had to trim a small amount off the flange on my steel bell to make room for the 2 inch tubes.
