I had this problem. My front end components were tight, but one of my LCA shaft's was plugged into its K-Frame sleeve and the sleeve weld was broken. Have you actually used a pry bar with the car up on a lift to see just how rigid the suspension is?

I think only the A body /6 cars had a bushing , everything else has a bearing , but good thing to check.
Box on my car was from a slant 6 car, I installed it to save the pounds and HP.
Now I'm getting old and putting the PS back in.

his box would not have a bushing then.

A lot happens in 40+ years, who is to say it has the original correct box in it?
I worked in a yard doing inventory for a friend, it was scary what the Hollander book said would "interchange"
