But here's the rub, I'm building a 440 Wedge motor... Schumacher says nobody - including him - makes 440-to-Hemi mounts, only Hemi-to-Wedge mounts. Is this true? Have any of you mounted a 440 to a Hemi K-frame? Did you have to fabricate your own solid mounts? (I'm OK running solids, FYI.) What do you guys suggest? To answer the question , yes you can mount the 440 to the Hemi mounts , many many many years ago I bought a 68 hemi RR that had a 383 mounted on the factory hemi K frame. The person that did it made a U shaped bracket bent from a piece of 3/16" or 1/4" steel that went from the hemi insulator to the wedge engine bracket.
