At the Nats over the weekend a friend was selling his 74 Barracuda, I looked it over slightly, but later a guy had pointed out that it had a BS VIN making it a Cuda. I asked if he had the buildsheet and he said he hadnt looked, so we removed the back seat and found a 98% perfect example. My question is what or where does anything indicate it to be the Cuda package? There is nothing on the sheet other than the S13 suspension code but even that has a conflict in which it states only a front sway bar with a 318 (which his is) but his has both. Is the Vin the only indicator? Thanks for any help and I will pass on any info. Greg

The only extra badging in 73 and 74 was a 'Cuda on the tail panel that was put on with a double sided stick on system so they often fell off with age. Also the door panels had Cuda emblems. That was it. BS VIN makes it a 'Cuda.

Also, the literature that states 318 cars did NOT get a rear sway bar is wrong. That must have been changed after the literature went to press. My 318 Rallye Challenger has the rear bar too.
Yep, front and rear. Mine was an early 73 and it has both. Craig
