I have a pic. of the VIN for BS23N1B100020 but I can't figure out how to post it. It is another super early Canadian car.

I had the VON as M02101, but I can't locate my notes on your car. OR why I had that VON.
I take it you have the correct VON from documents/plate?

From what I've heard .....
If a car was damaged or had other issues (for example, ASC sunroof cars were also finished on this "line") that caused it to be pulled from the main assembly line it was moved to a "repair line" (I don't know Chrysler's actual name for this other line). When it was completed, final inspected, & door tag issued on this "repair line" the door tag was printed from a machine that had the typewriter font of 100010's tag.

Thanks for that, certainly makes sense.

cudaized, Ola, how is it you've come to know about so many of the rarer cudas? If I may.

And thanks to the op for the original question.

Ola is the caretaker of the 1970-71 E-body Convertible Registry.

Like any registry, not all of the data presented to it is factual, but it is recorded.

I agree with this theory, not only hand typed, typo mistakes were common.

Most of the first day production 70 LA built Barracuda's ended up in the Washington/Oregon/Idaho/Montana region. All the ones in which I've been able to identify the dealer have come from region 72 which is the Northwest. Thanks for posting that one Jason, didn't have it.
