My barracuda 60's at 1.40 with 4.56 gear, 11.5- 29.5 tire with the ladder bars. When I went from clamped stock springs to the ladder bar it only improved maybe .002 but it sure made the car [ me ] feel better. Te car had spring wrap up and porpussed . The whole car would come of the track when I pulled 2nd gear.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I Guess as long as I see some improvements I will be happy I really was just trying to get rear square up in the car because 1 side stick further than the other

If you want you could cut the spring mounts off and center
the axle... or cut the one side and shorten it.. but
you might need the axle cut also

we were going to do that but when tearing everything down we discovered on the ds the axle was rubbing up against the wheel cylinder and put a nice groove in it( which I feel really blessed it didn't rub a hole in it while making a pass) so we are going to start from scratch and add ladder bars for a upgrade.

That is a good find To bad it happened Take your time on centering the rear end in the car, it is not uncommon on Mopars to have what you found, the rear end is not center in the chassis What type of rear suspension are you going to use now, leaf springs with sliders , coil overs or ? Also what device, if your going to coil overs, are you going to use the keep the housing centered in the car? My Duster had coil overs and a diagonal link, that worked real well on the street and track I use to race another Duster years ago that had ladder bars with leaf springs with a slider set up on it and it drove real well also at the track, it wasn't a street and strip car though.

are you having traction problems now? if it's hooking now you probably wont see a lot of gain.if it's spinning you may gain some.

Which type coil overs, single or double adjsutable? I should have elaborated a little more about buying a double adjustable with 6 inches or longer total travel(3 inches up, 3 inches down), sorry I didn't

I had mine set in the next to the bottom hole on the 1/4 max four hole front mount, I moved it to the bottom and ended up changing from Strange single adjustable coil overs to the same set up with Strange double adjustables and switched from a 175 lb spring to a 150 lb. spring. The car ended up doing 1.37 60 ft. on a set of 13x30x15 M/T ET Street bias ply tires Try moving them up and down , lower hole for the good tracts and the higher hole for the bad tracts Make sure and reset the pinion angle also each time with the changes, my car like from negative(down)3 to 5 degrees from the pinion gear to the driveshaft Whats your thoughts on how the car drives now compared to the old set up
