Dougsmopars OP top fuel D Joined: May 2005 Posts: 2,295 dark side of the moon	My 68 Super bee has a strange lighting problem. When you turn on the head lights to parking position all the side markers light up. When you turn the head lights on the front side markers go out. Car has all new wiring harness under hood and new head light harness. No cut or spliced wires. All plugs are pluged in. Is there any difference between 68 and 69 head light switch? I didn't build this car i bought it done. The wire harness are aftermarket but i don't know what brand.

On a '68, the side markers should all come on in either headlight switch position. However, the parking lights in the front bumper will ONLY illuminate in the "Park" position. The parking lights turn off when the headlights are turned on. Bloody Mary, Full of Vodka, Blessed art thou among cocktails....

The parking lights turn off when the headlights are turned on. That's what I was thinking. The front marker and park circuits are reversed. Most likely at the panel light connector. The green with a tracer is the front side marker circuit and it is shared with the black rear tail circuit at the panel switch. Here is a diagram. 7793310-68CoronetA.JPG (1285 downloads)

Terminals U and Z need to be verified on both sides of the bulkhead. The Park should be black with a yellow tracer terminal location U.
