dmckeehan OP member D Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 51 Jacksonville, AR	Got a 1997 Ram 2500 with 5.9 gas motor. truck starts and runs fine without Autometer Sport Comp tach hooked up. Hook tach up to signal wire on coil, truck wont start. unhook wire to coil, truck fires right up. Any suggestions what this might be? rth mopar R Joined: May 2005 Posts: 583 NJ	The tach should be on the neg side of coil. If it is maybe tach shorted out.

fstfish66 top fuel Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,757 levittown pa	with the tach hooked up and motor not starting,, crank the starter and watch the tach,,,if you can see the light bulb in the tach plusating when its cranking there is a short in the tach and it will not start,,, ive had an auto meter and a stewart warner tach both do the same thing resulting in a no start,,just my experience,,good luck,,, call auto meter ask if that is a warranty issue 1966 barracuda prostreeter super charged 340(SOLD) 1940 dodge coupe 241 hemi street rod 2014 ram express hemi 4x4 dailey driver 2015 cherokee 2013 R/T classic
