I think in another thread you said you were trying to get the car legal for 9's. If that is the case, the blanket isn't legal.
Stock bell with the CSR would be the easiest solution.

I switch between the Hemi and the W2 motor. Trans bell is long gone on all my tranmissions. I just keep different bells...

Jw bell and a blanket. If you cut the front mounting off the csr you would only have a single strap holding it on. Don't think that would work real well. I have a jw bell and stroud blanket and they work great together, took car on a 72 mile cruise the other weekend and trans never got over 175 degrees. That's with a 8 in 4400 conv.

A blanket is legal. No shortie csr. They do make alum shields but you need a big tunnel to clear.

Yeah I already figured out the alum one isn't even come close to fitting...Must be for a truck...
