Anyone make a CSR that only covers the main housing of the trans? Or any way I can cut the front of the CSR off?

The JW and a CSR are a real pain togather and I do not like the blackets much, but maybe I will have to go that route.

I think in another thread you said you were trying to get the car legal for 9's. If that is the case, the blanket isn't legal.

Stock bell with the CSR would be the easiest solution.

Why isn't a blanket legal?

I switch between the Hemi and the W2 motor. Trans bell is long gone on all my tranmissions. I just keep different bells...

Is your JW still in cert? I'd just get the tranny sheild but CSR doesn't make anything for that. I take it were're talking about a PG

Jw bell and a blanket. If you cut the front mounting off the csr you would only have a single strap holding it on. Don't think that would work real well. I have a jw bell and stroud blanket and they work great together, took car on a 72 mile cruise the other weekend and trans never got over 175 degrees. That's with a 8 in 4400 conv.

First I would ask what trans are you running with the
JW bell... glide, 400, 727.. if its a GM they have
the alum cover for just the drum area... similar to
this... this is for a 904

A blanket is legal. No shortie csr. They do make alum shields but you need a big tunnel to clear.
