Lots of truck applications had 30-spline axles. I wouldn't use them in a car with a clutch and slicks.

Your pic is of the weakest of the OEM limited slip carriers. I smoked the clutches in mine on street tires. The Dana 60 30 spline that I built for my Polara came from an International Travelall. For serious abuse step up to the 35 spline axles and the PowerLock carrier for street or a spool for the strip. Forget the TracLoc.
