Will a stock 727 converter from a big block 440, work in small block 727A trans..with 318

Yes.. If the 440 is a forged shaft 440 there will be no problem. If it is a later cast shaft model just knock the weight off it and it then will work on an internal balanced engine like the 318.

done this more than once on my junk. it is adding the weight onto a TC that i have not done yet.

Not hard to tack on a weight off another converter. Lay the two converters side by side with the offset lug in the same position and go from there. Done it many times and haven't had a problem with it yet.

It's from a forged steel crank 440..,so I don't have to do anything I guess... Thanks for all the help
