Someone in our car club gave me a 1970 Challenger and 1970 Barracuda fender tags. They came off junk yard cars 30+ years ago.
I thought I'd post them because they are sort of cool cars even though they are 318 autos. The Challenger is a Western Sport Special built in LA and I thought Barry sort of keeps track of these?
The Barracuda has a rallye hood and cruise control. IIRC, there was something about ralley hoods like mid year availability?
I just decoded these quick on Mymopar.com, so they might be inaccurate. Please correct if you see something.
The 1970 Challenger:

Thanks Dan.
What is the story on regular Barracuda with rallye hoods? Mid year 70 only, 71 also, other?

There were a number of items that were STANDARD equipment on '70 'Cudas (hood pins/"sport" hood/fog lights) that became available OPTIONS on Barracuda/Gran Coupe during the model year.
Which of those carried over to 71 Barracudas?

All of them were available on '71 BH & BP, & the fog lights became an OPTION (no longer STANDARD) on '71 'Cudas BS.

Why does the V1W code show up twice on the Challenger tag?
Is that common?
It's a "LA" thing. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/image_294343.gif)
