Hate to keep asking questions but this 440 is a new experience for me.. I'm used to my 340.. Anyways, the local parts store gave me ACDELCO R43S plugs for my 440. Is this a good choice? Stock 77 low compression 440.. Thanks...

what heads are on the 440?

some have the 452 heads that use a 5/8 peanut plug and not the 13/16 plugs.

I run autolites in mine, it has the 452 heads that use a 5/8 peanut plug.

some of the 452 heads can have the fatter plug also.

fat plugs have a washer-peanut has tapperd seat no washer.

Get a set of NGKs.I run them in all the cars.Ran Autolites since the 60s.Went NGK and much better. They run better than the Autolite race plugs and are cheaper.Set in my 12.5 440 street driven are on the 4th year and still like new.Rocky
