I recently got a 33 Plymouth and they hacked the wiring in it pretty bad. I spent part of a day trying to get the headlights, signals, park lights and brake lights to work and I think I would be time ahead to just rewire the whole car. I think an 8 circuit system would be plenty for the car, what do you guys recommend? Cost and ease of installation are the two big factors. Thanks, Clint

Clint I bought the cheap wiring kit for my valiant from summit. they are all about the same and yes it would be easier to just rip the old crap out and rewire it imo. is that going to have a hemi in it?

Yeah just scrap out the original stuff and put in
ALL new.. I did the same thing on my Rampage and
my 38 Ply... I forget the brand name but I just used
a fuse panel and wired it myself... you might want to
buy a panel but there are plenty of less pricey ones
instead of Painless(but they are good also)

YES!!!

Any vehicle more than 20 years old that I have seen, the wiring in it would be better off ripped out and replaced. Especially if you have that much patching up to do. You're asking for more return issues and gremlins later.

8-circuit should be enough BUT always better to have a few extra in case you want to add something later.

LOL, originally it was going to have a blown hemi but I'm not sure now might just leave the 440 in it. By the way the Arrow looks good after you did the carpeting in it.

Thanks everyone else for the response. I've looked around a little and so far about the only thing I've found I like is Painless, I haven't really seen anything else. So the Summit or Jegs kits are good then?

the painless kits are fine I used one on the challenger. but the other kits are just as good and cheaper. if you didn't have a name on them you couldn't tell the difference. where's the pics on that thing?

I have some on my phone but I'm not smart enough to get them from there to here. I'll try to take a few with the camera and post them.

Check the fuse block size, some are fairly large making it harder to find a place to mount them.

Granted I am biased when it comes to this so here goes. I as many of you know was tech support at Painless for many years and am still involved with the company. There are many harnesses out there that appear to be the same and if you were to ever get any of those companies to actually admit it they took a Painless harness and copied it. There are many of them out there that I have installed in cars and they worked. For the most part that is. Where you will certainly notice the difference is if there is any kind of issue Painless is there to help. Many of the other companies if you can get ahold of them do not have any form of tech support or very little. And if you ever have any questions even if its not a Painless harness I promise you I will be able to help you out with it. And Tony know's I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to wiring!

Back in the swing of things at Painless again! Great to be back!
