I am thinking it will go on the orientation you have it in the top picture. The center link should be stamped with "gear" on the side that goes on the pitman arm.

Bottom line, you need to put it on where it bends AWAY from the oil pan and not towards it or you will end up hitting the oil pan when you make a turn. Ask me how I know!

It only can go on one way.
The holes are tapered for the pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod ends.
Line it up, and you will easily find out.

Actually, there are four potential ways a center link could go, but with the tapered holes it will only bolt in one of two possible ways.

If the center link is horizontally straight (as in a straight line between the holes) then it doesn't matter.

In this case there is a curve in the horizontal plane and the center link needs to be installed so that the curve is away from the oil pan.

As always, before you finish the job run the steering lock to lock to make sure you have clearance between the center link and anything else. This is especially critical if you are running after market parts like an oil pan, headers, lowered the car, offset bushings, etc.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Thanks. I installed it with the bend away from the oil pan.

Now Im installing new moog inner/outer tie rod ends (the bigger C body tie rod ends and adjusting sleeves.) Is there a trick for getting proper length of the assembled tie rods/sleeves? Or do I adjust the rods/sleeve until the wheels look centered enough to drive it to the alignment shop?
