I am looking at the Art Carr/Winters shifters and have kept my eye on them for a month or two waiting to hear about a sale. I am hoping that around Thanksgiving or Christmas they will go on sale but wanted to ask (someone who has watched them longer than I have) if they ever offer a sale.

Signed up for the newsletters and e-mail promotions, but no I haven't called them yet. By the time I have to be at work and by the time I get off and back around a phone generally most companies are closed. First chance I get I will call them.

I doubt it... years ago I bought a AC shift kit for 30 bucks,,, now its 130.00

JVX shifters are made by Winters, it might be something to check out.

These things look an awful lot like a Turbo Action Cheetah shifter. Is there that much difference between them to want one over a Turbo Action piece?

I could be wrong but I thought all of these shifters were made by the same company and T/A, Winters and JVX etc. just put their respective names on them, I believe the origins of these shifters was a school bus or heavy truck application. T/A sells different gate assemblies for them to change form for instance GM to Mopar To Ford.
