They have booked the local bracket race points series on Saturday, so I plan to be there. I will be out of town the week before, and I am not sure if I will be back for Friday night or not. Link to MIR web page - IHRA Pro Am July 12-14

Today is the IHRA Divisional race and regular bracket race. They expect the class racers to begin eliminations around 2pm after they get their two time runs. The bracket racer's time runs start at 4pm, with eliminations around 7pm. I plan to arrive around 2pm this afternoon. Eric are you running Super Rod (9.90)? IHRA Pro-Am

Saturday.. 1st rd I get Steve Furr...I'm .004 to his .008 I rolled .02 in the timer before going down off a 9.890 second qualifier. I'm 9.931 to his 9.921 and I give it up by .006 Sunday.. 1st rd I'm .018 to his .019 I take the stripe ripping it twice 9.909 to his 9.953.. Now is where it gets interesting... 2nd round and I'm getting ready to pull in the burnout box. I put the car in gear and step on the brake...well kinda...the peddle goes right to the floor and I'm looking at the lawn on the side of the track to stop it. The pin for the brake peddle slid out of the bushin ...truthfully I've never paid any attention to it since it had never moved..now it will have a bolt and lock nut drilled through it. I guess the good thing is it did'nt happen at 150 mph. I think Jim had a worse weekend..I will let him explain that..
5.53 @ 125 1/8th on the launch control..more left in her!

Eric that is a very good thing. Just ask Chris or his driver what happens if that occurs at the stripe. Thankfully all ended well for you.
