Who makes a good mechanical fuel pump for Big Block that is rebuildable?
I have a Carter hemi type but can't find a rebuild kit.

Probably the best is the Clay Smith unit but if you're not requiring a hi-output/hi-horsepower unit, try and locate another Carter or buy a Holley mechanical, they work.

You can buy a factory style 440-6 pump at Advance for about $40. It is not rebuildable but who cares, It will be more than fine w/ most mild 440 applications. I think (I gave mine to a buddy) it even has 3/8" in and 5/16 out like the factory pump.

I've bought two of those and they are still working as expected.
