Can I get some suggestions on what to do for my dipstick? I have a Milodon drag race pan on my small block and just a regular Mopar chrome dipstick. I would like to have accurate readings from the pan. Any help? Thank you!

Better get inside Ma. Looks like a storm's comin'.

Got the same issue with a big block pan. Pan's already installed and if I remember correctly there is no hole in the baffle for the dipstick. You may have the same issue with yours. No matter what you do the dipstick will just stop or bend when it hits the baffle. So checking oil level will come down to looking for leaks and seeing if its blowing oil out the back !!

I make sure to provide a path in the oil pan, cranshaft scrapers and windage trays for the dipstick before installing them on SB, BB, Hemi or any other motors I build

On my SB Duster - huge oil pan - I use a sight gauge. Doesn't get more accurate or visual than that. Basically 2 90-degree fittings with a clear Tygon tube between them. Measured the oil level (5-10 quart increments, pan off the car but same angle), marked the pan, done. I do have to look at it under the car from the side, but that's easy.

Went with a flexible ( cable ) aftermarket dipstick. I'm running an 8 qt Milodon pan and factory windage tray. I run 7 qts w/filter and the oil just touches the bottom of the stick.
