Hi All!
I have had problems with a corroded power steering pulley causing the belt to slip. Now I need to do something about it.

First: I checked with Year One for a new pulley but apparently the BB and SB pulleys differ and they had none for SB. Where could I get a new stock appearance pulley for a small block? I have the Federal pump with a 7" three spoke pulley.

Second: In my efforts to get this to work I might have over tensioned the belt for a short period. Could I have ruined the pump? There is some play back and forth on the pump axle. Is this normal?

I really would hate to do all the work and hassle to change the pulley only to discover it was not sufficient and having to change the pump too. I live in Sweden and this seems to be a hard to find part over here. Both pulleys and pumps...

How would you recommend me to approach this?

Thanks for all input,
Jörgen

Front to back is OK. Side to side play means you have a worn PS pump
