Budman OP member B Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 161 Logansport, Indiana	I just bought a 69 340. I have some #'s off of the front of the Cam but cant find what it is. Need Help!! This is on the Cam CD 16003 5-4 800-801 Also, when going back together I want to double check something. The Hollow Bolt in the Cam Thrust Plate goes in top passenger hole? Correct? All MOPARS & nothig else.

Yes the hollow bolt goes in the pass side... look at the bolt hole and it should go right through to the intake valley... that is to oil the chain.... no clue on the cam.... look at the rear of it Last edited by MR_P_BODY; 06/03/13 09:44 AM.

mr_340 master M Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 3,505 DFW	That looks like a Cam Dynamics cam. I've not been able to find out anything on their grinds. They were bought out by Crane about 30 years ago. You might try contacting Crane and see if they have a clue. I have some old roller cams that were CD that I got from Koffel, old DC grinds for Modified Production. Floyd Lippencott IV

Not saying my '71 model 340 doesn't have it, I just didn't notice it. Might have to pull the timing cover back off and check. Even ones with the hollow bolt had that tab... every SB engine I opened up over the years had the bolt even the 273,318, 340... I've never owned a 360 that I torn down EDIT I throw those tabs in the trash... I havent use one in YEARS Last edited by MR_P_BODY; 06/05/13 11:36 AM.
