Is their a sure way to find out if these are original or not? The numbers are worn and the CDPD (Chrysler,Dodge,Plymouth,Desoto) sign is very faint. Either they were very rusty and blasted Or they are reproductions. The inside is barely oxidized. I was told they were N.O.S. Were there reproductions of these like 20 years ago already? Because the guy I bought them from said he had them for a long time.

Show picture of the casting dates and part#s. I'd say 99% that those are reproductions. Even NOS examples stored in a basement for 50 years would look rustier than those. Yes, reproductions were being sold that far back, someone was selling them at a few national events as "NOS" to fly under the wire without getting Chrysler licensing, early examples were VERY close reproductions casting number# and all, some were poorly machined having exhaust flange holes in the wrong locations by a small amount, the hole on the second from the front on your drivers side unit looks like one of them, hole drilled too close to the edge. They eventually were found out and changed the casting numbers to 413426440 to skirt licensing them (the new number epresents the combined CID of popular RB engines). These are the castings being sold as reproductions today.

I wonder how good do those manifolds flow when compared to headers...

I'll take some pictures later today. If they are reproductions at least I only paid a reproduction price. And also they flow pretty good from what Iv'e heard. And they look totally rad under the hood.

The repros use a made-up part # 413426440. I think they came out about 8-10 years ago.

I could not get a good close up picture and could make out some numbers only on the passenger side. #2402334. That is all. Maybe they are repros of the early kind. They have a real textured look to them. Like an orange peel almost. Like someone made a mold of original rusty manifolds that the numbers were almost gone. And that is why they might look as they do. Hopefully they bolt up O.K. If they are repros they actually look very good to me.

This is my right side, originals taken off a car when it was 4 months old, never put back on until I bought them 6 yrs ago.Right side number same as yours, left side only the 2402 is readable. Both sides have PCDD logo cast on a round raised pad about the size of a nickel and the letter N just before the date which is not legible on either side.
