hi guys , just a quick question , why did 68 & 69 , 383s & 440s , have the pcv valve on the passenger side valve cover from the factory , yet in 1970 it was switched to the driver side valve cover ? think i may have read sometime ago having it on drivers side is better ?
any info / feed back on this would be appreciated

Functionally it'd be the same so I'd guess there was a part addition/change that forced it to be moved to the other side to avoid interference but I'm just thinking out loud on a Sat night

If I was to guess and that's all it is, I would guess because of oil windage.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

The right-handed guy quit and a left-handed guy took his place.

Nah, just kiddin' - likely there was some cost that they wanted to reduce when they changed the breather cap & hoses; fuel line's on the right side, and fuel vapor recovery probably played into swapping sides.

Nobody at the big comapnys make changes unless it saves them money or they had to comply with some new goverment regulations, and we all know who pays for those changes to comply , correct
