Are they in an A body?
I have an E body cuda. I'll update after I get the car to the track. I just wanted to post don't avoid Caltracs because you drive the car on the street. They work fine.

Best tracion is usually the bottom hole, which did you set them up on?
I have mine set in the bottom hole with an airgap. I was suprised how fast the front end came up. It never did that before and I didn't change anything in my front end settings.

You'll like them. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) They work great for me and our car's are setup pretty similar. I'm surprised you got air under the front tires on the street ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1343795-scratchchin.gif) ...mine never comes close to doing that. It just bottoms out the suspension and then blows the tires off. Never understood why people would be scared of Cal-Tracs on the street...people drive ladder bars and 4 links across the country, but a leaf spring bolt on scares some people. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/image_294343.gif)

With really loose front shocks, my car wouldn't hook. I got it to bite once out of about 40 attempts and it went WAYY up in the air. Put my tighter front shocks back on and it hooks great. Leaves like the pic I posted. I have drag radials...not sure what tires you have? You have adjustable front shocks right?
What intake/carb setup do you run? What kind of hood? Any pics?

Mine's a little bigger (572") so I should have more torque, but mine was never on a dyno. I run 4.10s too, but I have 295-65 ET Street radials. You have more gear than I do w/ your shorter tires.
I'd love to see a pic of it! Is it a stock height shaker or has it been raised? I'd like to see some pics of how you mated the carb to the baseplate, etc. Always wanted to put a shaker hood on my car, but didn't think it would work as tall as it is. I have the Barton intake w/ a dominator and a 1" spacer.
I made the change from SS springs back when my car was a lot slower (mid 11s) and have never regretted it.
