I noticed they have them on sale now for a very good price and free freight if I remember correctly. If you are using one what was the quality like? Was looking at there cams today online when I stumbled across the stoker kit sale.

Ran their 408KStreet kit for about 5 years with no problems - probably around 525HP. It was a drop in.

I would have no problem using their kit. I use a 440Source kit which has worked good for me and I use Hughes 1.6 rockers which are a nice set of rockers. I like their products that I have used. Ron

don't know about their stroker kits, but I would like to know why their roller cams cost so much,$421.
I'll take a s.w.a.g.: 1. Since they're not a cam grinder and may not do a lot of roller cam business, they probably don't get big price breaks from the vendor on that type of product.
2. They're not in business to compete w/ the big mail-order ho's and expect to make a reasonable ROI (Return On Investment) for the transaction.
They're not the only Mopar-specialist company that doesn't try to be the cheapest guy on the block. In some cases the smaller shops can offer more competitive prices on certain items, but not always.
It's one of those trade-offs the consumer has to take into account, i.e., dealing w/ the cheapest place vs. paying more for something that you're buying from a company that knows more about the part and its application than just a simple part # on an invoice. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif)

Very well put Brad, and 100% accurate. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) How many times do you see someone on here post " where is the cheapest place to buy XXXXX " ? Everything, and everybody cant be the cheapest. If the only concern is cheap, then mail order often fits the bill. The concern often SHOULD be placed on best VALUE, which often isnt the cheapest up front, but in the long run...well..you get the idea... The price of knowledge is sometimes a good tradeoff for $20.00.....carry on.... ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flame.gif) Sorry for the hijack.

They specialize in mopar stuff. Inparticular small block stuff. They have been doing it for a loooong time. Most ( if not all ) their packages have been tried and proven ). Cheap and least expensive is a matter of semantics. Most mean least expensive, because in our world cheap means broken. Buying "packages" from an experienced supplier such as Hughes, is a smart thing to do for most ( includes me ). Weather you like Dave or not, he usually has his shat together. If you have ever toured their place, they are actually about half mail order house.
