Rollers are great in this day and age.

bet those springs are still to heavy even with the inner removed? Do the measure 1.55 across.

If they are get the inners from them and buy a nice little solid cam. may have to machine heads for the inners.

Yep, measure 1.55 across, wire thickness is 0.2", matching the inside diameter of 1.15" that is given in the catalog. Its been almost two years since I bought the valve train components and had the heads done, so I am sure the inner springs are long gone. So I am planning on replacing cam, lifters, and springs. There are no miles on the rest of the engine, so other than clean and inspect, I don't see having to do too much additional work.

Started pulling off all the accessories to get ready to pull engine. I am not looking forward to pulling the transmission.

you can get cam lifter and spring kits too.

I'd ask them you never know where the inners went.

I have my 284/484 and matched lifters well broke in, have same new cam you have (274)to go back in.we thought purple was bad, but actually looks fine now that is out.
If it would help you keep the car, want this cam, as a donation??
Hate to see you lose hope.
LMK,postal ride would be relatively cheap...

I'm 55 now, no time to waste. Not a week goes by that I don't hear about someone passing on.Let's get out there, smoke some tires, have a beer with a good friend,do what you have always wanted to do.I am pretty sure no one will ever say on their deathbed "gee I'm glad my life was calm and boring"

Thanks for the offer. I'e exchnged some PMs with Dodgem (Barry) and I think I have a game plan down. I ahve a cam and matching lifters sitting in a box I forgot about (pays to distract yourself with cleaning out the garage). I need to get springs to match. And gaskets and other consumables. I am just not looking forward to pulling the engine again. Though I have been looking for a task to use my new overhead hoist I installed this past winter.

Cam change can be done in car but to pull the heads and change the cam may as well pull it!
