Have you guys used any of those products out there purported to keep brake dust off of your wheels? I have white steelies and they're back to looking grubby and terrible after just a few drives. I'm tired of taking a rag and Simple Green to them every other day I have the car on the road.

Somebody mentioned way back about some brands of pads produce copious amounts of brake dust & they switched & that took care of a significant amount of the problem.

use ceramic pads

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

Also, clean them completely, then wax them real well. Then they will be easier to clean by just rinsing. Simple Green tends to strip any coating off, leaving bare paint for stuff to stick on. It can etch non-catalyzed paint too.
