As many know I recently sold my bigblock and am in the process of building a 340 for the Dart. I'm wanting to go to a trans brake transmission, and my question is, if I go to a SB 727, will I be able to use my same converter that I used with my bigblock that I footbraked?? If I can't, could I have the existing converter reworked and then use it?

Its all about the torque... your BB makes more torque
than most small blocks so what did the BB stall at and
what was the torque and RPM it made... most SB want
a higher stall point than a BB so its unlikely it
will work but most can be opened up and restalled
but the core size matters

I also would imagine you might want to take it out and get a looksie at it first before running it in a new tranny
