MR_P_BODY Master Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 52,972 Romeo MI	John it not a dana but it mounts the same way (I'm pretty sure)... but this one I made because I couldnt find anyone that offered it for a 8 3/4 EDIT on the pick up I have the bolt holes for the snubber and used them but you can drill and tap the housing pretty easy and bend up a bracket easy 7688800-DSC00032.JPG (780 downloads) Last edited by MR_P_BODY; 04/30/13 05:29 PM.

Defbob master Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 3,619 Norwich CT USA	You need the Mark Williams Billet yoke, it sticks out a little further than stock and has the space for a ring. Stock yokes do not have enough room.

I've seen a couple of dana's done that way... they had 2 1/4 X20 bolts holding it on

Defbob master Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 3,619 Norwich CT USA	You can either tap the housing and make a bracket or make a bracket that reaches all the way from the tube. The other way to get a speed sensor in the car is to mount one on the transmission yoke and make a bracket off the tranny.

dvw master Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 9,835 MI, usa	John, my Belvedere has one made from a 1/2" X 8" steel angle with a hole for the sensor at the end. I pie cut and welded one side of the bracket .090" to get the correct clearance to the magnet. Drilled a couple of vertical holes in the right side reinforcing rib of the axle housingto mount it. No pictures until Monday cause I'm out of town this week. Doug

The yoke does not move enough to move the tone ring out of range of the sensor. I was looking into doing this for my Cutlass since I have a Strange S60. Ok... my magnets are only a 1/4" diameter... I guess I wouldnt have any problems either with a 4-link or ladder bar but I was thinking more of a leaf spring car, it moves a fair bit

I took a 1"X1" square tube and welded a tab on the end so the sensor is adjustable. The tube is welded to the web on the side of the pinion snout. Never had any issues. Career best 8.02 @ 169 at 3050# and 10" tires small block power.
